I have long maintained that High Fashion, much like High Art these days, is more interested in outrageousness than making people look good. I have heard it said that some designers hate their clientelle, and/or women in general, and get a kick out of seeing ugly clothes on people. But this seems a little extreme.
Then again, I'm not exactly a fashion plate. Maybe this is hip and cool and I just don't get it.
