More media funny business

See this for one last example of how far the press was willing to go for Kerry. Not sure why marking a state with that many uncounted votes for either guy is a good idea, but honestly I've never understood what slanting the news toward one candidate or other does other than discredit the source. Oh well.

It must be unbelievably frustrating to know that despite your best efforts, people don't want what you want them to want. That's how the American press feels today. All that work shading the truth, ignoring the facts, hiding the real significance, for nothing. Probably makes you want to tear your hair out, or move to Canada.

And what will they do now? Now that most of the American media have sold their last scrap of honor and integrity down the river for a lesser man, and have to live with that shame? Well, they're going to take it out on W, and the people who put him back in the driver's seat (that's us). We will see backpedaling like never before as people like Aaron Brown, Tom Brokaw and even Dan Rather try to get back on our good side after years of faint but ever-present sneering contempt. They will have to try to choke down their rage at us for rehiring Chimpy McHitler, and it won't always work.

We've all seen what people who do criminal things often think about the rest of us -- that we all do the same. The people who accuse others of stealing are often thieves themselves, and so on. Watch for this behavior from the press; they've got a lot to atone for, and that can make a person go completely sociapathic. I suppose it's no wonder that they have conspiracy on the brain; most of them have been in on one for years.

So take the high road today, no "in your face" or "Rock THIS vote, bitch!" While it may be fun or satisfying, it won't help with the task ahead.
